DCUC 6 Superman and Captain Marvel found in the Philippines

Our sister site AFHUB has just posted photos of the DC Universe Classics Captain Marvel and Superman (with long hair) figures from the still unreleased Wave 6. These were found as “loose” figures in a toy store in the Philippines.

i found myself a full set of wave 6 as well. but alike most others, still no wave 5. what’s the deal?
i refuse to support the scalpers by purchasing from ebay. does anybody know where i can get these at a reasonable price in the seattle area?
and by “reasonable” i mean “retail”.

I’ve found these guys here in Albany NY, They look awesome. the paints are way better on the real figures..although Superman in the R/B costume has some different shades of red on his crotch. Can’t wait till the next series comes out…

i found Wave 6 at Wal*Mart in Phoenix AZ yesterday. bot them all. very cool. still looking for Wave 5 though.

  • They seem to have the same problems all the other figures and waves had.

Are you sure these aren’t from the DC Superheroes line of the late 90s.

  • Chris says:

I prefer the DC superheroes version of superman. I also like that cape better than this version which I feel is way too straight. The DCSH looks more regal and legendary imo.

Shazam looked better than i expected.

  • RedAl says:

They cant be real…if they are im going to abandon this AMAZING line of figures. However, pre production photo paint jobs look better than the finished products anyway so shouldnt complain to much…

Lehander said: “I was happy to know that there are pictures of the Shazan and Superman figures, but when I saw those I realised… these are pictures of FAKE figures. I mean they were found “loose” on the PHILIPPINES, for crying out loud!”
Lehander, first of all it is NOT ON the Philippines but you should say IN the Philippines. I don’t understand your point. So it was found in the Philippines then it must be a fake fig? Sorry to disappoint you but it is the real deal and though there are some quality issues to the figure…it is still the REAL deal.

These are factory rejects that can be seen in local specialty toy stores and at cheap vendors here in the Philippines. I recently found Lightray, Batgirl, Capt Atom and 1st Appearance Hal Jordan figures that either have awful paint jobs or ugly sculpt defects. Although that Hal Jordan figure was almost perfect!

However, these rejects were the last DCUC figures I saw after wave 1 and 2 was released! Lets face it – over here if you want a DCUC figure you either – order online, pray to the gods that these will be available in the toy stores or even in specialty toy stores or get them cheap through these stores!

Tough choice? Not really… there are rejects that are actually good and with the awful quality control of Mattel – these rejects are almost at par with the final product – OUCH!

  • bRai says:

    yes they are..

  • Low J@ck says:

Great catch. Nice to see the actual figures. But they do look like factory rejects.

  • Caesar says:

    Well…

    i hope Lehander is true…
    i hope those are fakes…

Coz i’ll be very disappointed if the original is that louzy….

  • Lehander says:

My dear friends, I’m very excited about this line, because I do think this Superman version is way better than the first two that were released in the DC Superheroes line (the first one was kind of ok, but the colors were too dark, the legs too opened, and the cape was horrible. And the second figure was a bad joke from Mattel – they rereleased that horrible figure from the Batman line). I also think that this “classic” Superman is better than the Blue and Red Superman, released in the DCUC line. So, I’m really looking forward for the 6th wave of the DCUC. Now, I was happy to know that there are pictures of the Shazan and Superman figures, but when I saw those I realised… these are pictures of FAKE figures. I mean they were found “loose” on the PHILIPPINES, for crying out loud! These are not exactly the versions that will go to retail. I mean, they have the original sculpt, but the material probably isn’t as good and the painting (as you can perfectly see)is not well made. The eyes, the shining paint, the badly finished Superman logo/shield… These are the hints we need to be sure that these figures are not the real, official final product. They are close to it, but are just fake. They are good to give us an idea of what is coming, but they are definitely fake…

    i know who brai is!

  • bRai says:

i know wer this is.. :D

  • Jon says:

They look like hand painted mock-ups – weird! If they’re for real it’s nice rare find.
