This runs for about 30 minutes – listen to it, tell us what you think and then purchase your subscription 😉

Is it the end of DC Universe Classics?

  • O.G. Trilogy says:

I cherry pick the line for figures that I actually want in my collection, so I guess that makes me the enemy because I don’t “support the line”. Every DCUC collector I know has been waiting patiently for Jay Garrick and Poison Ivy, but now we have to subscribe to even have a chance at these figures. Mattel won’t tell fans what figures are included in the subscription, so I’ll probably have to find a way to make my money back selling a lot figures I don’t want. Oh and Don’t forget Mattel’s horrible Quality Control issues either, because you’ll probably get stuck with a few figures with sloppy paint jobs and broken limbs.

It’s going to suck for mattel when they have to refund everyone’s money

Thanks for posting this. It was an informative discussion and furthers my sense of urgency to save what has been my favorite action figure line since it’s debut. I’ve always viewed this line as an incredible gift that seemed too good to actually be true. I deeply hope this club happens, but it seems like it will require a massive last minute rally.

Yeah, it looks pretty grim. If this pod doesn’t convince you, nothing will, I guess. It’s either take a chance of getting some figures you don’t want or don’t get them at all. The retail line sounds like it’ll be DCnU all the way and Mattel kind of got blindsided.
