I don’t know if anyone cares anymore…but I found Wave 8 & 9 between Target and Toys r Us over the weekend. By the way, do they ever update this site anymore? I liked keeping up on the info but there has been no info as of late.

I guess with the matty collector website opening a forum section soon they did not want to compete with it.

    • Darkside Games says:

Oh I almost forgot, a nice new fact was that wave 9 had a sticker on it reading “Only at Toys R Us”. Maybe that is why it has been such a pain to find.

  • Templar says:

FINALLY got black BATs & JOKER via Amazon – both were worth the wait & price increase in my book! You could never have enough Batman figures, I say – and this black-clad version is the sleekest & coolest one in the DCUC so far. Joker could have used better articulation on his hips, but his sculpt & paint job overall are nearly flawless ! It’s THE best articulated Joker figure we’ve all been waiting for – kudos again to the 4Horsemen for making my Holidays complete……..

    • The Flash III says:

I disagree–I’m getting tired of all the Batmen. As soon as I found all of wave 10 and bought it, Batman was a regret. I’ll probably save the black one, the one from the Gotham 5-pack, and (if I get it) the one from the Clayface 2-pack and sell them as a set. At least they didn’t put a C&C piece in it.

      • Mace02 says:

Flash, I agree with your thoughts on the C&C with batman and that there are WAY TOO MANY Batmans (and he’s my favorite SuperHero, DC or Marvel). But, the Black outfit is definitely way cooler than I thought it would be and way cooler then all the others!! I figured, if I had to skip a few Wave 10s, he’d be one, but no regrets on my purchase of the BLACK BAT!!!!

        • Templar says:

OK, guys – to re-phrase my statement a bit, I COULD use to probably get rid of some of my other surplus Batman figures…..BUT I’ll never get rid of this black Bats, that’s for sure…..I’m not that much of a costume purist when it comes to Batman – and I have no problems whatsoever with the black or blue with gray duds – but all-black simply makes more sense design-wise & stealth-wise……Side by side with Nightwing, they make for the sleekest dynamic duo in 6-inch scale so far……..Oh, but that’s just me raving on, being simply grateful I got them XMas goodies……Hope y’all got what you wished for as well…..!!

  • Jon says:

After waiting weeks to locate this in one of the three Walmarts in my area (Winston-Salem, NC) I gave up and bought Rbotman, Beast Boy, Joker and Manbat on eBay loose for about $19.00 each, shipped.

The sculpts are nice, no doubt about it, but these are fast approaching DC Direct figurines in their lack of poseability, specifically at the neck.

Just a wave ago they could nod – now they can’t (only side to side) and they are selling at retail for more than previously.

I’ve had it: The Doom Patrol and J’onn J’onzz and I’m done.

I was a great booster for this line but you let me down and tried to put it up my butt.

    Screw You, Mattel.

    • Mace02 says:

You should’ve shopped the bay. I just got me a set for $80 plus $12.50 shipping. So, I paid less then retail. At least we weren’t lied to when we were told they’d get more of these out there than Wave 5. This set is all over. I think it’s just that greedy little fools buy all they see so they can jack up the price, but it isn’t really working out for too many sellers. Don’t pay more than 110.00 for this set b/c they’re everywhere!

      • The Flash III says:

Well, not EVERYWHERE, but they are out in great enough numbers so that the ebay prices should be bottoming out for those who can’t find it. I bought from the store for under $100. I’m sorry, but these figures are not DC Direct level poseability–they can bend they’re arms and legs and have ankle joints.

        • Jon says:

Man, it gets tiresome having people misread what you write – I said they were “fast approaching DC Direct in lack of poseability”, not at “Dc Direct level”.

You can’t deny that the quality/cost is not improving, except possibly re: the C&Cs. I mean the new Mego style figures with clothing are priced at $20 a peice and these six inch figures are going to be $15 – that doesn’t make a lot of sense.

This line has another three years to go? That’s plenty of time for Mattel to drop another joint, or two.

          • The Flash III says:

In looking at my wave 11 figures that I just got, most of them have the full neck articulation and can look up and down with full range of motion, though, for some reason, the Question and Deadman cannot. I’m not sure why this is, but it is annoying. What joint would you forsee them getting rid of? There aren’t any that would make much sense, especially since they’re increasing the price.

  • ckub95 says:

I found Batman at my local Walmart today. It was the only figure they had besides the same Captain Cold and Cyborg that they had for months now. They also had 3 or 4 of the exclusive 5 packs.

    • Mace02 says:

My Toys R Us and Target have had a Cyborg forever as well. I think they’re holding out on stock b/c of that darn figure!

  • Darkside Games says:

I just found wave 8 at Target in Greenville SC & wave 10 at Wal-Mart in Anderson SC! I AM THE HAPPIEST MAN ALIVE!!!! Now I just need wave 9!?!

    • According to eminent toyologist Michael Crawford, Wave 9 might be the hardest wave to find of all, given the very low production numbers.

It’s hard to think it will be harder to find than Wave 10 but since I have Wave 10 (and without paying eBay scalper’s prices) I guess I can believe it. I’m glad now I bit the bullet and got Wave 9 before it became impossible.

      • Mace02 says:

I got lucky and won Wave 9 on ebay. I actually got all 9 and after shipping, I only paid about 16.50 a figure. Not too bad considering that I only one I ever saw one in the store and it was the Mantis robot

  • jamiec11 says:

still no sign of wave 10……i have to say that the joker i picked up on evil bay is fantastic…my favorite figure from any wave…and if you look the price for a set is about $150.00 if my local wlmarts remain dry much longer i may have to give in and start bidding…..i’ll give it one more weekend….and wave 11 is set for arrival any day now
