Mattel has just announced the line-up for DC Universe Classics Wave 8 which includes:.
- Commander Steel ™
- Dr Fate ™ (with a chase version)
- Gentleman Ghost ™
- Giganta ™ (Collect and Connect ™)
- Hawkgirl ™
- Mr. Terrific ™
- Parademon ™ (both Red and Yellow versions split 50/50!)
- Vigilante

I´m sorry but,i can´t stop my hate for Mattel.
From now, i´m gonna start collecting Marvel/Hasbro action figures, these are cutes too, too much cheapers, but basically, worldwide available. Worldwide Worldwide Worldwide
After 4 waves in hand and 4 announced, DCUC is now my favourite toy line of all time.
I order online (live in UK) so the distribution frustrations haven’t impacted me. Until now. Wave 5 is exclusive to Walmart and so far, I can’t get it. I feel for you guys who struggle to find every wave. I really hope Mattel improves distribution!

I haaaaaaate youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu. How could it be possible?, the ever finest action figures, aren´t worldwide distributed. The wrath of God is over you. I hate Mattel, i miss Hasbro.
I need these figures in my showcases. I dream this every night.

Uh, Martian Manhunter? Green Arrow? Black Lightning and the Atom (since they werent released at wal-mart). They ought to show beforethe likes of commander steel, for goodness sake. I agree with Greg above, most of these arent found in retail. Why??
A question, if anybody has any insight – the description says that “Dr. Fate (classic)” is the chase figure, and the picture that’s captioned “Dr. Fare (classic)” is actually not the classic Dr. Fate. So which one is the chase figure? The classic version or the new version that’s incorrectly captioned as “classic”?
So, once again I go through my standard Mattel boy market new toy announcement steps.
Step 1. Elation!
Step 2. Realization I will never see these at retail.
Step 3. Disappointment.
Step 4. Spending money on things I can find.
Awesome figures. Don’t have a complain so far. How about some figures like Waverider, Monarch, Deadman, The Metal Men…I think they would be a great addition to the collection.

my only concern is, where’s the love for Canada we dont get theses at all i always have to order online and pay crazy amounts of shipping and handling.

These figres look great!! I love them.
However, I do have one complaint.
The two parademons are completely different sculpts, why didn’t they save one for a later wave. There are way to many figures in this wave. Even the Dr. Fates are different enough that they should have been broken up into two waves.
And I still cannot find these in Wal-Mart or target. Christmas is coming and that is when every manufacturer pulls out the stops. If I cannot find them by then I think I will have to give up on this series. I am pulling for you guys. I wish these were as easy to find as your Barbie and Hot Wheels are.
A great selection of characters, for sure! Now, I just would like a Golden Age Flash and Green Lantern, and Black Adam, and I’d be a happy man!
However, I agree with everyone who says Mattel needs to work on distribution, since I’ve never seen these figures in person before, and have to buy them online. Also, quit with the duplicate figures in the case ratios!
Brilliant wave of figures. They are all outstanding, but gotta love the Vigilante figure and the Gentleman Ghost is a fantastic choice for a figure and looks great too!
Now, Mattel can you please, please release these in the UK!!!

OMG! Outstanding character selection, Especially of 5 characters never before done in 6 inch scale. Disregard those that say this wave needs a big name in it. All they know is Superwonderbats & no one else!

why the lack of heavy hitters in this wave?hawkgirl is not strong enough to carry this series alone, she’ll need at least an earth green lantern or martian to help her out.

2. Be careful with the scales …..
3. Last but not least..Quality Control; make sure the figures on the market looks as good as the prototypes shown on the promo….

Great sculpts! with online retailers raising the prices every other month-they should have fixed the distribution by now. This was suppose to be a mass market line, no? People giving up on finding, and frankly are sick of Mattel telling us to do their job, and market their product by calling the stores! Mattel has been around too long for these issues.
