Anyone able to confirm/deny that wave 10 (Power girl, Joker) will be yet another “exclusive” Wal-Mart deal? Can it REALLY be mattel didnt learn from the LAST debacle??
I have never, NEVER seen a company so @#!%$&-up that through sheer stupidity is ruining its sales of this line. I hope this news is just nonsense. Given what we’ve seen to this date, I have serious doubts….
It’s been confirmed in Toyfare #144, I think. I’ve heard that they said they could possibly be ordered on Wal-Mart’s web site, but other times they’ve said “contact your local store and ask for them by name.”
It’s like they can’t admit that they’ve EVER screwed ANYTHING up with DCUC. People would complain a lot less if they at least admitted that Wave 5 could’ve went better and then made changes to correct it. Instead they continue to ignore it.
I think Wal-Mart probably has them by the cajones to a degree and there’s nothing they can do about distribution–I wish they’d just admit it, but they don’t want to incur the wrath of might WM.
I can make no sense of it. I dont see what extra ordinary profit either Mattel or wm could get out of this tactic. Only a very few wm’s got wave 5, and even then they didnt get large numbers to sell. The retail will be around $10.00…no matter what they do, they cant sell them at a higher price. Now once the PRIVATE sellers offer them on ebay or whatever,go to Amazon, you can see $30-40 and up. But neither company(mattel or wm) gets any of that. It just doesnt make sense.
Very good, but to me, bouth ones, black or blue are fine.
