I hope that the modern version at least gets a Matty Collector release. This is a decent looking figure, but honestly, the gold distracted me from noticing his penishead. We need that back.

Maybe so, but with the new version, you get into the gold/yellow mix of colors, which looks awful on the modern Dr. Fate and only passable on Captain Marvel. At least he has a shield. The helmet with eyeholes looks good, too.

Agreed that the NYCC modern version (its pic is on the next page) is waaaaaay better than this classic version they’re releasing…..He looks a little too…..BARE…….

It’s still a cool figure. I have heard quite a few people talk about either going all yellow or all gold and how mixing them looks weird (like Shazam and the gold Dr. Fate), so I’m kind of glad they just went with yellow. I like the line on the helmet, they should do one on the shield so it doesn’t look like a plastic cutout.

I love this figure. Thanks, Four Horsemen, Mattel, and everyone who helped make it the wonderful figure it is. You did a GREAT JOB on it. Jack Kirby’s Guardian is one of my favors… and you did him well.

I hope that somewhere in the near future we may see some of the other Kirby heroes like SANDMAN & SANDY, MANHUNTER, …OMAC, … and maybe The CHALLENGERS OF THE UNKNOWN, and Kirby’s(S.A.) GREEN ARROW & SPEEDY.

I sure would be one happy little Action Figure collector, then.
