Got this one today and I could not be more pleased. As a youth I had this figure from the Super Powers line, and I played with him until his arm fell off and then I kept playing with him.

(a lot of Mantis vs Brainiac battles, doesn’t make sense now but as a child it’s all about the fun)

Major blast from the past and well worth the newly increased price (BOO!) for DCUC figures at the local TRU.

I never thought I’d live to see both a New Gods Mantis figure AND a new Super Powers Mantis. Awesomeness! I gotta echo one of the previous posters and call for a Steppenwolf figure soon. Metron, not so much. I’d do Desaad or Granny Goodness first.

I’m sure it’ll hit SOME nostalgic nerves out there. Personally, and with all due respect, I think the plastic can be used on a much more interesting New Gods character – say Metron or Steppenwolf, perhaps ??

Ugh! This was my least favorite Super Powers figure ever. Even super-articulated, I don’t like it. I’ll be buying the human version of Mantis. I’m glad they are paying homage to the great Super Powers line, though.
