This is an early prototype of the Classic Batman.
Notice that the paint job on Batman’s cowl is different from the one actually released.

I really love this one, this looks like the real “classic” batman (neal adams and jose luis garcia l. vers.)from the classics superpowers version, any plans to take it to the market?? I don’t have any batman but I like this one for my first.

Hmmm. I’m sort of surprised that some people dig this more than the released version http://www.dcuc.info/wave_1/batman-crime-stopper-in-package/ . Why? Well…aren’t there ENOUGH Bats with the one-color cowl? There’s no way in hell that I would EVER remove the black from it w/ acetone. The released version is WAY better looking than this one — and it’s more of a conversation piece. The black cowl version says “hey, remember the Superfriends?” while this one says “I read comics and have never been on a date”.

  • Jaime Rheyes says:

I like this one much better than the other one.

This is the version that I Like, it’s batman back in the mid 70’s, this is classic

  • electri says:

I ain saying I wanted this version but I’m just saying that cuz lots of people wanted this version instead Mattel could’ve done this version as a variant. I am just happy I got the batman I HAVE always wanted.

  • Pete says:

It’s the same head, you guys. If you want a variant, a slow (read: all day) careful application of of acetone will take the black off the cowl–see here.

  • electri says:

This should’ve been the variant but like the one we got better

  • andy says:

This one head is the better one.
    You should release this version!

I think I like this one a bit better than the one released. The body seems to be the same but it looks to me like there are 2 different heads. This one has the better head and I like that the bat-logo is outlined
